What are your bags made from?

We weave with two sustainable materials:

• Krajood – a reed that grows in the wetlands of Southern Thailand. The stems are sustainably harvested and handwoven by our family into strong, beautiful bags.

• Banana Tree Fibres - stripped from the trees after the fruit has been harvested, a natural by-product collected from small local plantations.

How are the bags made?

Every bag is handwoven in Phatthalung, our home in Southern Thailand. After harvesting, the reeds & fibres are sun-dried for up to six months, naturally treated, then woven into unique patterns. Our custom bags are finished with hand-embroidered designs using natural Merino wool, stitched directly onto the weave.

Are your bags eco-friendly?

Yes. Both Krajood and Banana Fibre bags are made using local, renewable materials and traditional methods that have low environmental impact. All T.A.I Studio products support sustainable fashion and keep time-honoured techniques alive.

Can I customise my bag?

Not at the moment, but we offer a range of styles that showcase different weaving patterns and embroidered designs. If you have a specific idea, feel free to contact us and we’ll let you know if we can help.

How do I care for my Krajood & Banana Fibre bags?

Keep it dry where possible. If your bag gets wet, just let it air dry naturally. To clean, use a soft, damp cloth – avoid harsh cleaners or soaking. When not in use, store in a cool, dry place.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We offer free UK delivery (2–3 days for items in our UK depot) and international shipping on request.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Individual customer orders are usually processed within 1–2 business days. UK delivery typically takes 2–5 days after dispatch. You’ll receive a tracking link once your order has shipped.

Small batch boutique orders are shipped directly from our workshop and typically arrive in the UK within 7-10 business days.

What is your return policy?

You can return items within 14 days of receipt if they’re unused and in original condition. Returns are handled by mail, and customers cover return shipping. Refunds (or exchanges) will be processed within 30 days once we’ve received the item.
