Sustainability at the Heart
We don’t treat sustainability as a marketing angle.
It’s the way we live and work — because it’s always been the way we’ve lived and worked.
Every basket we make carries that mindset — from the way we gather Krajood in the wetlands of Phatthalung to the way we pack orders using paper and palm rope. No step is perfect, but each one is considered.
“Sustainable fashion is not a trend, it’s a responsibility.”
What we believe.
Use what nature gives you, and give back when you can.
Work with your hands, not machines.
Waste as little as possible.
Make things that last.
These aren’t new ideas. They’re just how we were taught to live — passed down, not written down.

Growing, Not Scaling
We're a small, family business. We don't have a carbon calculator or a glossy report — but we know every person who touches each bag. That means we can make careful choices, every step of the way:
Materials: Our Krajood is harvested wild. Our Banana Fibre comes from what’s left after the fruit is taken — a by-product that would otherwise be discarded.
Dyes & Embroidery: We use thread sparingly, and only when it adds meaning. Every stitch is done by hand, not machines.
Packaging: No plastic. Just reused paper, cardboard, palm rope, and the occasional reused label or bag when we have one.

Supporting Local, Always.
We make everything ourselves, or with people we know — usually in our extended family or our neighbours’ families. The money stays close to home, helping us grow slowly and fairly.
We don’t chase fast production or big orders we can’t keep up with. Instead, we plan around real capacity, pay well above local rates, and stay honest about our timelines.

What’s Next.
We know we’re not perfect. As we grow, we’re looking at how to improve — whether that’s sourcing new low-impact materials or switching to even more eco-conscious packaging for overseas orders.
We’re also looking at ways to share more about what we’ve learned — especially with other small brands who want to grow slow, like us.

Shop Sustainable. Shop Small. Shop Real.
Every time someone buys a T.A.I Studio piece, it helps keep our way of life going — not just for us, but for the next generation.
We’re not trying to look “eco.” We’re just doing what we’ve always done — only now, more people are paying attention.
